Russ and Amy's Wedding

Russ and Amy were married July 26th at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Plymouth, MN and the reception took place at Olympic Hills Golf Club. The entire day went so smoothly. Both Russ and Amy were thrilled with the day. We were able to get some beautiful images!

The first three were all shot using window light, which I love. Its soft quality creates a really nice effect. It was really nice especially with Amy's gorgeous eyes. The windows gave Amy's eyes this wonderful sparkle (maybe it was Russ and not the windows).

We also took some more traditional shots at the altar which turned out really well. Beautiful Savior is a very pretty church!
The fifth picture I thought was very pretty. I love the chaise lounge and Amy looks gorgeous.
The last three images were taken at the golf course. There was beautiful landscaping! These have a very romantic feel. Russ just swept Amy up and kissed her.
Just a side note, Russ gave one of the nicest toasts at the wedding thanking his bride. I thought I was going to cry and I know I wasn't the only one. They are clearly going to be very happy! Best of wishes!

Tony and I

Tony and I got married May 31st at St. Olaf College, in Northfield. These are just a few of our favorites. I was very lucky to have two photographer friends take our photos and they did a great job. I loved having them do it! They traveled a long ways and I hadn't seen either of them in years so it was really nice to get to see them a lot during such a busy day, and they were so wonderful. The day felt so surreal, and I could not believe how quickly it went. Neither Tony and I were very nervous. We just enjoyed the day and didn't worry about a thing. St. Olaf is a beautiful campus and church, which I was thrilled with for the pictures. We also went to the downtown area of Northfield which is very quaint and again a great photo opportunity.
It was fun to get a chance to be the bride and see what its like on the other end of the lens. We were absolutely thrilled with the day!

Eric and Elizabeth's Engagements

Eric and Elizabeth's engagement images were taken at Mears Park in St. Paul. This was a fun place to shoot because there were so many different backgrounds avaialable. We were able to do some really nice images of the two of them in the park and then walk around the city a litle to get a more urban feel. This area used to be home to the couple so it was nice for them to have the pictures there.
The architecture really creates a beautiful and dramatic scenery with wonderful leading lines that draw your eye through the images.
I was really happy with the images and the bride and groom to be were too!

Mark and Kristyn's Wedding

Mark and Kristyn were married July 12, 2008 at Northwestern College. The ceremony and reception took place at the college. It is a beatiful campus and absolutley wonderful for photographs! I loved the architecture of the chapel. The archways outside give a very romantic feel. A really liked the images near the window. The lighting is very dramatic and created a different mood. The chapel had beautiful marble and it was a lovely candlelight service.
I really liked the image of them walking up the stairs together. It reminded me of Cinderella. The lighting was perfect highlighting their hair and her shoes.
The reception was in the Blue Room. It was very classic, and they had a pianist playing background music, which enhanced the ambience.
Lovely wedding for a wonderful couple. They are such nice people and I wish them the best!

Brittany and Michael's Wedding

Brittany and Michael were married July 11, 2008 at Beaver Lake Lutheran Church in St. Paul. They had a really nice day for the wedding. It was a little hot, but it didn't rain. The church is a really cute chapel and was a wonderful setting for the ceremony. Their son is featured in the first photo and he is a little charmer. What a cutie! He was the ring bearer and he did a wonderful job! I really liked the image in front of the church of them kissing. The bright blue sky looked perfect!
These were just some of my favorites from the day. It was a really nice day. Everyone seemed very calm and were able enjoy the day. Everyone was great to work with. Congratulations to the new family!

Rusty and Katie's Engagements

Katie and Rusty's images were taken at the Stone Arch Bridge. They are a very fun couple who are up for anything with pictures which is always fun for me. They really liked this setting, but as luck would have it there was a photo exhibit on the bridge that week. We were still able to get great shots at the bridge, though! This is a really neat setting for pictures with a wide variety of backgrounds within a small radius. I really liked the shot of Rusty picking Katie up in front of the industrial building. I also really liked their outfit choice. Her red shoes were really fun to add something extra to the images.
They are just adorable together!

Krista and Cody's Wedding

Krista and Cody were married July 5, 2008 at St. Thomas Aquinas Church and the reception took place at Mississippi Dunes in Cottage Grove. They had a beautiful day. We started with pictures at the Mississippi Dunes, a beatiful golf course. We were able to get wonderful shots there of the couple and the bridal party. Then we moved on to formal shots at the church. The lighting at St. Thomas Aquinas was wonderful for the ceremony shots. There are a lot of windows which made for really nice images there. We also did some outside shots in front of the church which are feautured above. The lighting was perfect and the white wall created a perfectly neutral palet which really draws your attention to the bride and groom. I really liked that series of photos. I also really liked the image of them eskimo kissing. They are a very sweet couple. I had a lot of fun working with them. They were all very gracious!
Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Bau!

Kathy and Chad's Wedding

Kathy and Chad were married June 27, 2008 at St. Lucas Church in Lake Elmo. I really liked the setting of the church. Its nestled in an area that feels secluded even though its just outside the city. The bride and groom are a wonderful couple and the bridal party was fun to work with. These were just a few of my favorite images although I had many more that I loved. The reception followed at Wildwood Lodge in Lake Elmo, which was also very nice. They had a really nice day and the couple seemed pretty relaxed. Kathy reminds me of Heather Locklear in the first image (who I think is gorgeous). They are a very photogenic couple, although I don't think Chad was incredibly excited to have his picture taken. He kindly put up with me though.
I really liked the 5th image of them in front of the window. They are just adorable as a couple

Congratulations to the newlyweds!
