Jessica & Ryan

Jessica and Ryan were married at Harrington Mansion in Minneapolis August 23rd. Ryan is a photographer too so the couple was very excited about the photos, which I love. They were going for a more vintage look which went perfectly with the mansion setting and made for some really cool pictures.
The first 2 pictures were shot using window light. They really have a beatiful glow to their skin tones and I liked how the background went dark and made them pop from the image.
I liked the 3rd image with the shadows in the background creating an interesting pattern on the wall.
The fourth image is from the ceremony. I had a few really nice images of Jessica laughing that really capture the emotion. The ceremony took place on the grand staircase at the mansion, which was really neat.
I thought the 5th and 6th image really captured them. I love the look on Jessica's face in the 5th picture. She looks absolutely thrilled. I thought the image on the steps was just fun.
I liked the last image of the two of them, again using window light. The low lighting in the mansion creats a very dramatic image,
Ryan and Jessica were great and I really enjoyed shooting their wedding. They had a fun and crazy group which always makes for excellent photos! It was a really nice day for the couple. Congrats again!

Matt and Lindsey

Matt and Lindsey were married August 16th at the History Center in St. Paul. Photos started at the St. Paul hotel and then the couple saw each other for the first time at Harriett Island. We were able to get some beautiful images of the couple with the skyline as the background. We also had some fun group shots. I really liked the bright blue sky and clouds with the combination of a wide angle lens to give the 3rd image a little more energy.
The fourth image is at the history center in the rotunda and is an eye catching shot of the group.
The fifth image is taken where the ceremony takes place. The low angle creates an intersting effect and captures the wonderful architecture of the History Center.
I really liked the fifth image of Lindsey as her dad is about to walk her down the aisle. She paused, took a deep breath and you can see the excitement on her face in this image. I really liked the ceremony shots the way the window light created this beautful soft effect with Lindsey's veil. It looks heavenly.
The History Center is absolutely lovely for a wedding ceremony. As you can see the capital is lit behind the couple and creates wonderful ambiance as Matt and Lindsey say their vows.
The setting was simply classic for the dance. The capital in the background and the live band created a very romantic setting and they are clearly having fun during their first dance.
It was a wonderful day for Matt and Lindsey and they are a great couple! They seem perfect for each other! I really enjoyed photographing their wedding. Best of wishes to Matt and Lindsey.

Tina and Brad's Wedding

Tina and Brad were married August 8th at Westwood Community Church in Chaska. We started with pictures at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, where the reception took place. The arboretum is absolutely beautiful and we were able to take some wonderful images.

The first image has a very romantic feel and I used a soft filter to enhance this. The second image was shot in front of a waterfall and you can see the spray behind them as the background. The couple really enjoys the waterfalls and fountains at the arboretum.
I liked using the architecture in the third image. It really leads your eye through the photo and creates an interesting image. The fourth image I thought was really nice of Tina. She is a striking bride and I liked the soft focus of the white flowers behind her. It seemed a perfect background for the bride. The fifth image is a classic portrait of the bride and groom in the sanctuary.
The image of the bride's and groom's hands was shot using window light.

The ceremony itself was lovely. The bride and groom did an interpretive dance, which I'd never seen before. That was really neat and everyone really enjoyed it. The sixth picture is from their dance.

The last image is of the bride and groom exiting. The lighting was perfect as they left the church during "the golden hour" or dusk. They look thrilled and its a fun image!

Brad and Tina are a wonderful couple and they were great to work with. Their wedding was fabulous and I wish them the best. They deserve it!

Eric's & Liz's Wedding

Eric and Liz were married August 2nd at Brackett's Crossing in Lakeville. The ceremony took place on the veranda and the reception was on site as well. It was a beautiful day for the newlyweds.
There were some lovely rooms with excellent window light that we were able to utilize for some really nice photos. The country club has a beautiful garden area that we took photos in too. Eric and Liz are just a wonderful couple! The last photo was a spontaneous image where Eric picked Liz up during the dance. I thought it captured a fun moment. There were so many nice photos I had a hard time picking out my favorites.
Congratulations and best of wishes! What a great start to a new life together.
